EX.3 - Eric Volz’s Shoulder

This first photograph was used as evidence during Eric Volz’s trial. Expert analysis has concluded that this photograph was digitally altered. The increased contrast darkened the lines from the bruises on Eric Volz’s shoulder to make them appear more drastic. Additionally, the dark vignette on the photograph which results in Eric Volz’s lower back being very dark but his shoulders being perfectly exposed is another sign of digital alteration. Further proof of tampering is that the photograph is very grainy and the pixels are evident. The stamp in the upper-right hand corner indicates that the photo was in the possession of the police.

This second photograph (although over exposed) is the original photograph which has not been altered or enhanced.
